We will miss you Sharon!

On Tuesday September 23, 2008 Sharon Stallings went to be with God and her children. We were at Carolinas Medical center with her when she passed. She had a number of tumors throughout her body, the worst of which was in her stomach causing internal bleeding which could not be stopped. After one unsuccesful surgery she began radiation. It was just too much for her. She made her peace with God and then went to be with her children. Today, Friday the 26th was her funeral. She was a mother to me and I will miss her so much. I cannot believe that this has happened. Just a month ago she was fine. It happened very fast. Today I read a message at her funeral and shared some of the times I will always remeber. The trips to Khols, the many hours planting in my front yard, the nail painting, and scrap-booking. Every Sunday, for atleast 5 years, Justin and I have been enjoying Sharon's wonderful cooking. She made the BEST gravy and ranch potatoes. I am going to miss all the times we shared and I know that many things will remind me of her. Perhaps a plant, certain flowers, the smell of some home-cooked food, a cat, a book, a show.....

I will never forget you Sharon!

Here are some pictures that I think are very good of Sharon:

Update

Well, alot has happened since the last post. They did call and tell me that the baby did have turner syndrome, so it was a girl, and it is very unlikely to have that happen again. I am feeling alot better, although I had a very hard time with it initially. School is almost over. Just 3 weeks! I am not teaching high school ever again and I got to tell you, It feels good! I still don't know what I am going to do with my life though. I have no idea. Brian, Justin, and Justin have been working out togeather everyday so they are all getting in shape. Lindy's baby is due soon! I am very excited about that. Until next time!

I am waiting for you...Luke 15:11-32

On Monday April 7, 2008 we went to find out the sex of the baby. Instead we were told that the baby has fluid accumulation throughout its entire body. This is a result of a chromosome abnormality. The doctor informed me that the baby cannot live with this condition. I went to a specialist and had amniocentesis done(very painful!) and when we get the results we will know exactly what caused this. The specialist showed me the fluid on the ultrasound and huge cysts on the baby's neck. His prognosis was Turner syndrome, where the baby is missing one of its sex chromosomes. If this is determined to be the cause then he said I can have healthy children in the future. This is a rare and random mistake that occurs when the egg and sperm first meet. There is nothing either of us could have done to change the outcome. It is not in our genes and should not happen again. Justin and I appreciate all the love and prayers we have received from the family. On Tuesday they are inducing my labor and I will give birth. I am very scared so please continue to pray for me.
Here is a picture of the baby. Normally at this age (18 weeks) it looks like a skeleton, but as you can see mine has thick arms and legs. This is a result of the fluid accumulation. It does make the baby look cute!

I recently found out that I am pregnant! We so are excited and nervous about having our first child. It is very exciting to be pregnant with my sister, Lindy, although she is 10 weeks ahead of me. Here is a pregnancy timer so you can watch me grow! My first doctor's appointment is next Monday Jan. 14th. They will confirm pregancy and tell me a due date although I already figured out it would be sometime in the beginning of September. I will post again after that.
